The Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) Centre, University of Mysore, is recognized by the UGC, New Delhi for conducting the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) for lectureship/ Assistant Professor since 2010. It conducts the test once a year in 39 subjects at the eleven Centres spread across the Karnataka State. The KSET strictly follows the guidelines stipulated by the UGC-NET Bureau. KTET is credited with making merit based selection for the entry level of teaching profession.

KSET Result 2016 Certificate
The certificates issued to KTET eligible candidates are valid for lifetime. Qualified KTET candidates will be governed by the rules and regulations for recruitment of lectures / Assistant Professors of the concerned University / Colleges / Institutions (Government / Aided / Private) in Karnataka State.

KSET 2016 Cut Off Marks
The Cut off Marks means the least number of marks a candidate should score to get qualified in Karnataka State Eligibility Test. There is different Cut off Marks for different categories of KSET exam. So, the candidates are advised to check the cut off marks list as per their respective field of education.
The previous year’s cut off list is available for reference on the official website. The cut-off or the merit list is prepared subject-wise and category-wise using the aggregate marks (total marks of all the three papers) obtained. From the cut-off list, prepared top 15% in each category will be declared as KTET qualified candidates and eligible for lectureship.
Karnataka State Eligibility Test 2016 Result Date
The exam pattern of the KTET 2016 exam was as follows: It consisted of 3 exams. First two exams were 100 marks each. The third exam was for 150 marks and 2 and half hour duration. All the questions were multiple choice questions. There is no upper age limit to apply for KSET examination. Paper-I was the general paper is on Teaching and aptitude relating to Karnataka state geographical, climate, environment, historical, political, social, economic, education and technological knowledge of the candidate. Paper-II was the subject consisted of questions based on the subject selected by the candidate. Paper-III was again a subject paper (consisting of in depth questions).
