Recruitment notification for the post of Constable has been issued by the Headquarters of Jammu and Kashmir Police. Candidates who are willing to participate in the selection process can fill up the application form online on the official website by 13 December 2016 but before that a candidate should check that whether he/she is eligible for J & K Police Constable Recruitment 2016 or not by checking the eligibility criteria.
There are 5381 constable post in the various departments as 4340 posts in IRP Battalions, 386 posts in Armed Police and 655 posts in Executive Police Department. Candidates will have to go through written test, Physical Endurance Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST) and Medical Examination for the selection.
The J & K Police Constable E-Admit Card for written test will be downloaded by the candidates who applied through online mode. Candidates are advised to keep two additional copies of the same photograph ready with them for bringing along with Hall Ticket/ Call Letter and valid photo ID at the time of written examination, PET, PMT and even in Document Verification round. JK Police Constable Admit Card 2017 for PET
First off all candidates will be called for Physical Endurance Test (PET) and candidates have to qualifying in nature. Candidates who will qualify PET shall be eligible for Physical Standard Test (PST). No marks are allotted for the PST and PET test as these are conducted just for checking the stamina of the Candidates. Written test will be conducted for those who will meet the above describe PST and PET criteria after which a merit list will be prepared and will be displayed on the official website. Physical Endurance Test (PET) will be held based on the long race, pushups and shot puts. Long race for the male candidates should be 1600 m in 6 minutes and for female candidates it should be 1000 m in 6 minutes. The male candidates should be able to do 20 pushups and the female candidates should be able to do 14.5 feet shot puts. Candidates should visit the official website for other details like syllabus of written exams, dates of exam, admit card etc. First, Jammu & Kashmir Police will release admit card for Physical Endurance Test (PET) for all eligible applicants.

Now after completion of PET, Physical Standard Test (PST) will be done on the basis of measurement of Height and Chest. The minimum height for the male candidates should be 5.6 and for the female candidates it should be 5.2 minimum. Chest for the male candidates should be 33.5 inches. Candidates will be needed to bring their original documents during this test.
Again candidates who will shortlisted through PET/ PST will be called for written test. For the written test, 100 questions are to be attempted in 2 hours. Questions will be of objective type and will be based on 10th Standard i.e. the subjects will be Mathematics, English, Reasoning, and General Knowledge.
How to Download J & K Police Constable Hall Ticket 2017
JK Police Constable Admit Card 2017 will be available online 15-20 days prior to the Exam. Candidates can download their hall ticket from the official website of Jammu & Kashmir Police Department by using the details like registration ID and Date of Birth. Admit Card contains all the important details like date, venue, time of examination, roll number etc and hence should be checked carefully. It will be required at the time of examination along with the valid identity proof like Passport as without these documents one will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
For downloading the Admit Card, go to the official website which is jkpolice.gov.in. Find the link “J&K Police Constable Admit Card 2017” and click on it. You will be required to fill the details like registration number and Date of Birth and then submit those details. Then your hall ticket will be displayed and you should check all the details in it thoroughly. Download it and take a print out. Candidates should reach at least 30 minutes prior to the reporting time at the examination centre.
